Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, NY

Wicked Stepmom says, “Breathtaking mountain views, awesome hiking and rock climbing through lots of trails, gorgeous grounds with a B&B and on-site spa.”

Bird & Bottle Inn, Garrison, NY

Wicked S says of this restaurant and B&B, “The food is incredible. Atmosphere cozy, warm and inviting. Garrison is a lovely area and is a hop, skip and a jump to the town of Cold Spring which offers quaint shops, including antiques and local artisans.”

Castle on the Hudson, Tarrytown, NY

Wicked S says, “The food and service are absolutely superb; truly romantic atmosphere straight from the pages of a medieval fairy tale.” She would know.

BEST DINNER WITH YOUR MAN: The River Cafe, Brooklyn, NY

Enchanting view of Manhattan from across the East River. The restaurant rests underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, bobbing gently atop the water. Flawless service, beautiful lighting, old-school piano bar, excellent cocktails and outstanding food. I fell in love with the River Cafe many years ago and celebrated my one year anniversary there in June. Super romantic, old NY charm. Decadent.

BEST COCKTAIL: The Mercer (kitchen), NY, New York

The Husband and I met our favorite voice over talent at The Mercer. Very hip SoHo location. Bar and restaurant are actually below street level. Go for the ambiance and the stylish scene.

BEST LOCAL JEWELER: Stuart Moore

I stumbled upon this Soho gallery years before I met and fell in love with The Husband. When I knew I would marry him, I may have suggested that he visit the SF gallery. These untraditional designs are innovative, solid, but delicate, simple and gorgeous. I am currently coveting a rose gold setting with a yellow diamond. Perhaps for Stepmother’s Day?
