Who is Izzy Rose?
A native to California, in her mid-thirties and a TV producer, Izzy Rose recently left foggy San Francisco for muggy Austin, Texas. In the past year she married a man from Memphis, left a corporate career to pursue green advertising (she failed at saving the planet and has returned to mainstream media), cast her first ballot deep in the heart of a Red State and went from being a long-time single woman to living with three men. A husband and his two kids.
Ms. Rose has spent her career writing, producing and editing for broadcast television. Becoming a step-mom is her most ambitious project yet. She’s never drank so much wine in her life.

Who is The Husband?
According to Izzy…He is a fiery man with a tender underbelly. A passionate creative director, self-taught mechanic (in constant search of a classic BMW 2002), southern BBQ aficionado, and son of a Methodist minister. He is to Izzy, imperfectly perfect. A balance of hard edges and soft spots. He lets Izzy see them all.
Who is The Tall One?
He is a quiet study and thoughtful dreamer. A handsome writer and focused inventor, he can surprise you with his wily schemes and jaunty sense of humor. Most often, he’s the shadow on the walls, keeping balance within the home. But, he’s also a teen-ager, so his charm comes in waves.
Who is The Young One?
He is our court jester and village historian. Always up for high jinx and sharing new factoids, (often involving string, tape, and interpretive dance), his astounding memory keeps him engaged in a broad range of topics from Abraham Lincoln to the Hindenburg to the wing span of the Golden Eagle. He often asks, “What’s your favorite bird of prey?” He keeps the conversation going. All the time.
