Land Park Book Club: The Package Deal

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

landpark_ladies

Tonight, I’ll be joining (via conference call) a ladies book club in Sacramento, CA to discuss The Package Deal.

The Land Park Book Club describe themselves this way: “We are a group of 13, all married but one divorcee, one stepmom, ages mid-late 30’s. Many know one another from high school. Been together as… a book club for 8 years.”

Their cocktail hour starts at 6p and then they’ll phone me at 7p. Should be loads of fun!

Next… an in-person visit with a group in Palo Alto, September 17th and Live Mom’s book club in mid-October.

Do you have a book club in Central Texas? If so, I’m more than happy to attend your meeting, mix and mingle, and answer any questions you have about The Package Deal. If you live elsewhere in the country, I’m available for over-the-phone chats to speak at your next club meeting. Visit my book club page to schedule a face-to-face visit or an author call and for the complete Readers Discussion Guide.

Just Your Average Day in Texas

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

One is bald and one has braids. When your husband calls and says, “I’m going to be hanging out with Willie Nelson today,” you just can’t help but smile. Especially after he tells you that Willie rode up on a horse. Life in Austin is pretty cool.
