UK STEPMUM INTRODUCES GLASGOW TO TEXAS

lipsA big smooch to Rebecca Lippett, who writes the humorous blog La Belle Mere: confused musings of a stepmother on the edge for spreading stepmum love.

To boost traffic to her site, Rebecca ran a contest/giveaway in August where she asked readers to leave comments, become a follower or review her site in order to enter to win a copy of The Package Deal.

According to Rebecca, it was “a very popular competition” with over 70 entrants. Given that La Belle Mere went live only a few months ago, that’s an impressive turn-out. Even better, the winner is SUDDENLY STEPMOM, an American stepmom now living in Glasgow, Scotland. How cool is that? If you haven’t seen her site yet, I encourage you to check it out and say hello. You can also find Suddenly Stepmom over at Stepchicks.

About Suddenly Stepmom (in her own words):

I am a recently married American woman living in Glasgow, Scotland with my Glaswegian husband, two stepsons and an American calico cat. As the name suggests, my blog is primarily about my experiences as a stepmother, with all the happy (yes, I said happy) trappings of domesticity that come with that role. But then there is the “suddenly” part, in which I blog about making the transition from long-time single girl to family-oriented woman living in a foreign country. I love to cook, bake, do crafts and generally be über-domestic while I am home, but I have a job that requires me to travel for several weeks at a time during the spring and summer. In this first year of married-with-stepkids life, I will attempt to strike a balance between my new “stepmom-at-home” role and my traveling career. And of course I’ll be blogging about it.
