Just Your Average Day in Texas

One is bald and one has braids. When your husband calls and says, “I’m going to be hanging out with Willie Nelson today,” you just can’t help but smile. Especially after he tells you that Willie rode up on a horse. Life in Austin is pretty cool.

That’s awesome, Izzy! Looks like it’s sunny over there - mind sending some sunshine up to Seattle? It’s soooo cold!

Hi, I’m new, a S-Mom for 11 years. My teenage SD’s arrive tonight and will stay for the summer. I live in Houston, God it’s hot. I also have a 10 y.o. son. This is always such a hard time for us, we’re all so different. Just need some help.
    Thanks,
    Mona

    Hi Mona,

Having kids suddenly drop into your life is a tough one. We just put ours on a plane to their mothers, so we have some down time, and even that is weird!
Hang in there and go to the pool! If you find yourself in Austin, let’s go for lunch.

Austin is the da bomb…isn’t it? I actually went to elementary school with Willie’s grand-daughter. He used to drive a black Lincoln past my house to get to her house. I’d stand in the yard and wave until my arm fell off.

    Good times.
