What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

champaign.jpgTo all of you sassy stepmoms, saucy bio-moms, single ladies, sisters, friends and family…I will drink a glass of bubbly to you tonight. I am most grateful to have so many wonderful influences in my life.

And to my two stepkids who are up in the air, flying to see their mom to ring in the New Year…while, I’m glad to have a night off and a mini-break from barking at you to pick up your socks (for the forty thousandth time), I am grateful for you, too. You make me laugh. And life has never been so interesting.

Cheers to all!

My stepdaughter just took off in a plane as well, back to her mother’s house. This will be our first New Year’s in like four years without her…I’m kind of liking it. We can actually do adult things, in a crazy, irresponsible, yet safe and legal, manner without worrying about a seven year old.

Our News Years Eve was spent curled up in bed, watching tv. Nothing special. Little man was asleep, the older three sat watching tv in their room. We sent them to bed after the midnight ball drop in time square. They fell asleep early last year and didn’t get to see it, they thought it was pretty cool to see it this year.
