I present to you The Young One’s Christmas list. My stepkid knows what he wants and apparently, where to find it. He typed this up on his very own manual typewriter and delivered it to us with ample time to consider shipping costs. The price breakdown came on a separate sheet.
A TV producer from San Francisco, Izzy left her big city, single lifestyle to move to Austin, Texas with three guys- her new husband and his two kids. She insisted on her own bathroom before setting foot in the door. And that was just the beginning.

yes, the grapes caught me off guard. It’s not like we’ve banned them from the house and only bring them in for special occasions. In fact, I never knew The YOung One was even a fan…

The best part about the grapes is the “1/2″.
Another favorite highlight is number 27. I mean, what kids doesn’t need a memory foam mattress pad? The added (twin) is also very helpful.

Mr W and I are wondering which of these items Father Christmas will be delivering this year. will the young one be pi55ed if he actually gets the Lucius Malfoy walking stick (with hidden wand) and the memory foam mattress? (we looked it up, the memory foam mattress (twin) is ONLY $500????? (we keep a copy of skymall in the bathroom for entertainment purposes!)
FYI, we’ve flipped through our copy and it seems that the portable beach cabana is no longer on offer nor could we see the De-FIB-ulator, which we’re interested in ourselves….
We suspect that the grapes are for some sort of hooch that the boy is brewing up in his closet, which probably gives you and Mr Izzy a reason for some concern, but fear not, Mr W says that you can explain the illegal brewing factory on a fascination with chemistry or budding entrepreneurial spirit.
The list has been amended to include:
1. lifetime supply of bottle rockets
2. a new pair of black shoes (says mom)
3. underwear (says mom)
4. anything else that seems sensible.
The kid is a character, I must say. As for the items no longer available, The Young One has a library of Sky Mall mags (he’s a collector), so no doubt he’s been dabbling in past issues.
