I live in both worlds and sometimes forget which is which. It's a fine line.

I understand you've been working for the green brigade and been meaning to follow up.

You're so young! I'm ten years into the mamo's.

P.S. I was talking about you last week, calling you Izzy Rose and was getting a puzzled look from our mutual friend who knows you by your real name. I realized that I should live in either the pretend world or the real world, but not both at the same time.

Well done you Izzy... still ladies, carry on doing your breast checks every month as well, better still, teach your man how do inspect your "girls", and have some fun whilst doing it too, who should know your girls better than him? I am fortunate enough not to have lost 2 dear friends to the vile disease that is breast cancer, one of them lost a breast, one of them lost part of her breast.
Catch it early is the key.

Whilst we're at checking our health, lets all have a bone density scan done too, while we're still young enough to make a difference to the out come. Calcium and high impact exercise..

Wow. That's some scary stuff, Erin. I'm meeting more and more women who have this gene in their family history and I'm so glad we are talking about it. Thanks for sharin.

[...] IzzyRose created an interesting post today on You gotta love the girls. Here’s a short outline:Well, my Doc wouldn’t inspect the girls, but I was allowed a sonogram (my liver is beautiful, apparently) a cholesterol and blood test (Hep C, HPV and HIV) and a colonoscopy. Yes, I elected to do this. Paranoid? Maybe. Healthy? Yes. … [...]

I had my first mammogram this year as well. Everyone except my mom has had breast cancer.

Ironically, despite pregnancy ultrasounds, labwork and a D&C, the mammogram was what wound up costing me the most out of pocket expense.

Go figure.
